Pantone Toaster

I think this is quite interesting toaster. It would be fun if there were one which automatically stops toasting when the toast becomes a certain color (not when the set time comes).

Third Concept

THIRD CONCEPT

This is my third concept which is combining of camera, video recorder, and mp4 player. This camera used solar energy as secondary battery and we can put our usb to transfer data. I just emphasized the design because it was too common for camera with rectangular shape, so i want to break that habitual. Moreover, this gadget is so important for our target market to capture all of events that she attend.

SECOND CONCEPT - CD AND MP4 PLAYER

SECOND CONCEPT

This is my second concept which is cd and mp4 player for home audio. This cd player has a sensor to open the lid. Furthermore, we can put our usb to this cd player so this player is multifunction for cd and mp4.

First concept - All in one gadget

FIRST CONCEPT

This is my first concept. This gadget included phone, planner, camera, video recorder, and mp4 player. Moreover, this gadget has solar energy as secondary battery. There are capabilities to input usb, memory card, earplug, and touch screen as well. The design emphasize simple and modern look same as our target market.

Motorola Sparrow

This product by Motorola. It combines a scanner, point of sale (POS) system, RFID, communication and credit card reading capabilities into one mobile device. I think the design is very interesting, look simple but eye catching.

Frame digital camera

Quickly snapping pictures and showing them off. The slim profile is undercut by a large round barrel for easy gripping. There aren’t any buttons of menu settings to fuss with it. Just set it on top of your side table for the family to enjoy.

Treo Vs. Iphone

One of my concept is combining all gadgets function and technology such as phone, camera, mp3, video recorder, planner, email but also put usb port and memory card reader on it. I just saw this design. It was so interesting. It a bit looks like an Iphone but i think it has so much different concept with Iphone. This phone emphasize on their color and eye catching shape.

Omi Sofa

This is Omni Sofa by Karim Rashid. The beauty of this design goes several layers deep. It is simply awesome as a modern circular sofa, and the 5 sections can be ordered seperately and reconfigured to make different shapes. It could be a long curvy snake like sofa or a semi-circle. There are many possibilities and one only has to play with the shapes. It is so FUN!

Communicate is IMPORTANT

At this time i just realizes that communicating is very important. It is incredible that there are so many different applications which is makes people easier to communicate.

One of PR consultant described that.. "Let me share with you what I was doing this afternoon. And this was in the space of 20 minutes.

* Chat skypeing with a friend/colleague about a work situation.
* On the phone to a client regarding a media release and chat skypeing phone numbers and web addresses while on the call (as well as hilarious hidden emoticons)
* My parent’s skype called me from Europe. We did a video skype call. They have taken an ASUS Eee travelling with them and I speak to them more now via Skype than when they are at home.
* I used Twitter to send a direct Tweet to a client who I couldn’t get on the phone.
* I emailed a client regarding speaking opportunities.
* My mobile phone rang and I had to hand it to a staff member because I couldn’t take the call!

As an experienced PR Consultant I am expert at doing 10 things at once, and while this 20 minute period of my working life sounds busy, it actually means I get heaps of things done much more quickly than if I couldn’t use these applications."

Most of you likely already use email and the phone in your business, but check out other applications to help communicate with your customers and clients. Most of these are free and will help with productivity.

70 percent of today’s public relations are WOMEN

Today, i found out that about
70 percent of today’s public relations are women, and this has created a considerable gender imbalance in many departments and public relations firms.

Personally, I think that women in PR have more discipline where they can work and show self-confidence, assertiveness, a risk-taking attitude, and an accountability necessary for business success. Also PR departments and agencies seem preferred to employ female employees rather than males.

'We need people who can juggle tasks, keep calm and influence people - and women are good at that,' says Jo Marino, who heads up Waterstones' in-house PR team along with two female colleagues.

Gillian Rankin, a business psychologist at ML Consulting points out in PR Week, 'Women are recognised at being better at relationship building, which is crucial for dealing both with clients and the media…Also they have empathy with people and are more interested in interactive dialogue - listening as well as speaking.'
